About Deborah
I was born and brought up in Kew and after leaving school, I went to Cambridge University. From there I went on to PwC where I qualified as a chartered accountant. I now work for the AMV Group, the UK’s largest advertising company, as a project consultant, covering areas as diverse as procurement and cost savings to assisting with our environmental policy.
I joined the Conservative Party in 1997 and since then I have been an active supporter in a number of areas.
I have worked on Party policy since 2004:
- 2004-05 James Report
I wrote recommendations 1 and 3 of HM Treasury section ( full report);
- 2006-07 Economic Competitiveness Policy Group
I was a member of the Public Sector Efficiency group within the team (full report).
In addition, I was a local council candidate in Lambeth in 2006 and the Parliamentary Candidate for Birmingham Hodge Hill in the 2005 General Election, before coming back to work for Richmond Conservatives at a grassroots level.
I am committed to representing Twickenham’s residents and holding this shambolic Liberal council to account. I am a passionate believer in quality public services, better transport and a cle aner environment, but also believe that the government and the council have a duty to offer the best value for money possible, something that only the Conservative Party can achieve.
When I am not working or on the campaign trail, I love travelling, music and watching rugby.
